Based in Dublin but originally from Chicago, DJ Kaila Troy has been one of the fastest growing DJ’s to hit the Irish music scene. Within days of her public release by mentor DJ Frank Jez, Kaila was the topic of discussion and had landed herself as one of Ireland’s top Female DJ’s playing big venues with some of the music industry’s top performers. But like all great success stories Kaila’s began long before the bright lights of fame.As a young girl, Kaila Troy was truly infatuated with music and it was always Hip Hop that dominated her heart.Kaila would watch every music video on TV with her childhood babysitters and instantly fell in love with music.

As she grew up she knew that no matter what happened along the way her dream  career would be in the music industry.She first started dancing at six years of age with Irish Dancing, ballet, tap,   jazz and lyrical. She started singing at nine years of age developing shows across  Dublin with her sister Katherine. At twelve years old Kaila went onto Hip Hop and  Break Dancing.

At her first Hip Hop dance class her instructor recognized her natural talent and
placed her onto Ireland’s Hip Hop Crew. Within a couple of months she had placed third in the World Hip Hop
Championships in Los Angeles. A crowd and judge favorite, Kaila won every All- Ireland Hip Hop Dance
Championship that she ever entered. No stranger to the spotlight, she has also appeared on many TV
commercials, talk shows and newspapers all around Ireland.

All true Hip Hop fans know that the art of break dancing wouldn’t be possible without the beat. By that rationale it
was only natural when Kaila turned her attentions to the art of Djing. Strongly influenced by her new group of
friends in the Irish club scene Kaila was doing promotional work for DJ Frank Jez when she attended the Oxygen Music Festival and watched Frank Jez performing.

This performance was the pivotal

moment when she knew that DJing would be what she wanted to commit her life to. Driven, ambitious and
motivated, Kaila would run to the DJ booth after work every day in order to perfect her mixing skills.

Frank Jez has been the major inspiration to Kaila’s day-to-day life of becoming a DJ. Frank, an accomplished DJ
who hosts a weekly hip hop show on Dublin’s FM104, took Kaila under his wing and shared his skills, time and
expertise. Her dedication and love of music has helped Kaila in her rise to the forefront of the Irish club scene.
Along with her good looks and bubbly personality, this young woman lights up any room.

Known for her pumping Hip Hop/RnB sets along with her heavy busting Electro/Pop sets Kaila can cover all types of music including Electro, House, Hip-hop, RnB, Chart, Pop, Trap, Funk,Reggae and Dancehall. Kaila Troy is a performer, whether she’s Djing, dancing or on the microphone. She can adapt to any crowd,bringing the party alive and giving you a unique and special party experience.

Within a couple months of learning her skills as a DJ, she has already supported acts such as Trey Songz, Tinchy Stryder, The Far East Movement, Hoodie Allen and many more. Kaila has also Dj’d at exclusive events/after parties for artists such as Ne-Yo, Trey Songz, Cheryl Cole, B.O.B, Tinchy Stryder, Chuk Venn, Geordie Shore Cast and Jay Z & Kanye West’s official after party for their Watch the Throne tour.Every major Club in Ireland has booked her to DJ: The Wright Venue, Play Night club, The Academy, Alchemy, XXI, Code 23, Havana, Show, Entourage, Playhouse, The Grafton Lounge, 212, The Dandelion, The Village, Club Firs, Mantis, Spy and many more.

After that Kaila traveled to Miami for the “Core DJ” 10 anniversary.  Where she meet Dollah Dae, general manager of AMS Music and Club Envy. After a series of meetings Kaila signed to Dollah Dae’s Company, “Splash Committee”.  3 weeks after signing with Splash Committee, MGM International booked DJ Kaila Troy at one of their worldwide locations. Where she then became a resident DJ for MGM International. Once Kaila landed in America every A-List artist had to have Kaila DJ at there shows, from Lil wayne, Rick Ross, Kevin Gates, Ludacris, Future and Dej Loaf. Kaila has appeared as a special guest on Belfast radio station Blast 106 and Kiss FM Chicago, performing one of her explosive Live Mix’s.

She has also done mix’s before for the Frank Jez Urban Block Mixshow on Ireland’s number one radio
station FM104. Kaila now has major people in the industry behind her from, Lil Wayne, DJ Khaled, Maddie Says, Ne-yo, Chanel WestCoast and Christina Milian. From her two American Tour with Lil Wayne “Sorry For the Wait Tour” and Chanel West Coast American Tour just recently. Kaila Troy is now preparing for another tour with DJ Khaled, Pitbull and Wyclef Jean with the company Heads Audio. Kaila Troy is now Sponsored by DJ Khaled Heads Audio and Smash Clothing.
